In the spirit of my personal challenge,
I have a Quilt Contest for you!

Fabrics N Quilts
Scrap Challenge Quilt Contest
A scrap bin buster
- 54” x 54” minimum size
- Entries must be completed quilts
- Quilts can be entered in both challenges
Even in our times, we all have a scrap bin that overflows or a collection of fat quarters stashed away longing for a project.
There are no design limitations on your challenge piece, other than overall size and that the quilt should utilize scraps of fabric in an obvious way/be the focus of your quilt, and the quilt must be finished (quilted).
So gather up your scraps & start designing your masterpiece!
You can even enter TWO ways!
Local Challenge - Voting open to all in-store customers from March 1-March 15. Any tie will be broken by store staff vote.
- Quilts must be entered at Fabrics N Quilts by close of business February 28,2011.
- All quilts must be labeled with quilter’s name and phone number (basted label on back is fine)
- Quilts will be hung in the store during voting. Voting ends March 15th @ 5 P.M.

Looks like fun!! Going to try to participate! Thanks for the great challenge!
Would a raggy quilt qualify?
Sure enough they would, as long as they are 3 layers quilted & the quilt complete.
Sounds GOOD !!!! oh , a challenge is the only way to get things done for a procrastinator as I am !!!
ooooooh I have been thinking of clearing out my scraps, they are soooooooooooooooo out of control. Been trying to find me a pattern I want to do.
I agree, there's definitely hanky panky going on in my scrap bin too. They multiply when I'm not around.
I put a button on my blog and I am going to give this one a try. I will have sooooo many scraps left after the past month of mad sewing.
Ok..so, I'll give it a whirl.
Great idea!
Wish I had seen this sooner. Don't have enough time for a 54" x 54" quilt right now. But will follow your blog in case another challenge is posted.
have to think about this a little. i have a bazillion scraps..............10 years worth waiting to be put into a quilt. want to have a little of all my projects in it. this would be a good time to do it.
i am in the process of making a scrap quilt...my favorite. If i send a quilt in, i can't pick it up but would you mail it back if i put in a return mailing fee inside box?
Hi Jane, I didn't have a link to your email, so I hope you check back here :)
You are welcome to mail quilts in for the in-store challenge with return postage for the trip back home.
You can also just take some pictures of your quilt & enter it in our online challenge. When you have your quilt finished, upload your pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/groups/fnqchallenge/
Online voting will determine our online challenge winner. :)
What fun. Can't wait to see all the entries.

I entered a quilt that was finished before November 1. If it is not eligible, let me know and I will remove it from the group.
