I am not much of a cook, and by the grace of God, I don’t have to be. BUT, every now & again I get in the mood to cook or bake. The biggest reason I don’t do the cooking is because I have a problem with cooking in small quantities. This cobbler is in a 2 QT dish, so not too big that it won’t be wasted.'

1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Inspired by reusing items on hand to bring organization to our every eclectic thread offering, I repurposed 2 antique ironing boards and some golf tees.
Yeah, I think they are cool. The one on the right already had holes drilled for steam, so it was a good model for me to get the spacing just perfect for the board on the left. Looks like I get to go thread shopping again; I see empty pegs!
I love this collection by Fig Tree & Co for Moda. Last year I made a disappearing 9 patch throw and last week found bits & pieces of left over blocks. So I cut the necessary bits to finish this table runner for my mom for her birthday.
I used the leftover strips of fabric from the squares I added to piece the back of the runner & make it reversible.
Yes, she loved it, but like most moms, she wouldn’t have said anything else. Happy Birthday Mom!
I think Round Robins are about the most fun thing a quilter can do with a group of friends.
I am currently participating in an online robin and just had to show my addition to the first block.
Here is what I received:
I set a disappearing 9 patch in the corner of the setting triangles and brought the brighter blue fabric from the setting squares into a thin border, taking the original block off point.
So I wonder, will the next person put it back on point or ???
I wonder what is happening to my block right now…oh the suspense!
