Monday’s Quilt Challenge and Giveaway

As we enter a new week and soon a new month, I have a month of Monday Challenges planned for us.

This Monday’s challenge is to make a star block for the Just One Star project

Moda fabrics is coordinating the piecing, quilting & presentation of 100 quilts to injured US military by Flag Day, June 14th.

All they need from us is Just One Star block.  Click here for full information, piecing instructions & mailing info.

Each block only requires a fat eighth plus a 10” square.  You can surely mail 1 block for the price of a stamp.

Now then, the challenge & giveaway details:

  • Make your block today
  • Blog your block & spread the word in a blog post today or tomorrow
  • Come back here & post a link to your Monday or Tuesday blog post (earlier blog posts will not qualify; you must have a blog to participate in this challenge)
  • On Wednesday morning, I will select a winner & they will receive this fat quarter bundle.  If you do not have an email address in your blog’s profile be sure you post one in your comment.  If I can not contact you, I will pick someone else.

We can make a difference in the life of a stranger, if we will just try.  So, won’t you make a block for those who have so selflessly given of themselves for your freedom?

I can do it if I don't have to have it done by a certain time today. Toooo much going on for a Monday. Where do I sign up darlin'????

It warms my heart that so many have already contributed & continue to do so; Thanks, Cathy!

Jeanne, no sign up, just post a link to your blog post by the end of the day Tuesday. That is all you have to do to enter.

Also, there is no fabric brand requirement on your blocks. So don't let that hold you back!

If you don't have a blog, don't worry, there will be more challenges over the next month that will not require a blog & you can join in on those!

Good evening. Came across your blog at exactly 7:24pm; I remember because I read your star challenge and began to determine if I would have the time. Because I cant count for some reason this evening LOL I ended up with materials cut for 4 blocks. I have the first one done and it can be found here (brand new blogger - still setting up the site )

Thanks for the challenge, what a great thing to take part in and glad I could contribute.

So, reading about "Monday's Challenge". Is that indicative that there is a challenge each Monday along these lines? Interesting...
