Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Volume 10 Blog Tour PLUS a Giveaway

CONGRATULATIONS TO JRT14!  This giveaway is now closed.
Be sure to check out the most recent posts on this blog for what we are up to next!

This is my third and final go round as a tester for Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, I am excited to share in the show & tell excitement on the blog tour!

These are the 12 blocks I tested:
QM vol10
Most of the blocks will go into a sampler of some sort.  I still have to finish the hand embroidery (bottom left).  The turtle has become a pillow to welcome a new baby to their nursery.  And the bunnies (above the turtle) into a wall hanging for a bunny loving friend.
The most beloved block has been the appliqued hearts (by far!).  Here’s the lowdown on the blocks:
Top Row, left to right
Firelight, #997, Page 67, Martha Walker
Diamonds in my Eyes, #940, Page 38, Cynthia Foster
Forever, #962, Page 49, Sandi Blackwell
2nd Row, Left to Right
Tangled Hearts, #912, Page 23, Teresa Rawson
Puddle Jumper, #975, Page 56, Beth Helfter
Wanderlust, #930, Page 32, Cindy Wiens
3rd Row, Left to Right
Rainbow Houndstooth, Block #938, Page 37, Theresa Eisinger
Pines and Spools, #946, Page 41, Heather Kojan
Bunny-Go-Round, #957, Page 47, Deborah Bahr Johnson
4th Row, Left to Right
Winter Red, #974, Page 55, Sara Hardwig
Hummingbird Haven, #902, Page 18, Sandi Colwell
Ted Turtle, #906, Page 20, Sue Marsh

I used the Henry Glass collection by Buggy Barn, Winging It for the blocks I am putting in the sampler with a Moda Bella solid for my background.
Wingin_it_tn_h170
I have one copy of the 100 Blocks, Volume 10 to giveaway!  Leave a comment on how you’ve used blocks from these magazines (any of the 10 volumes!) for a chance to win!  I’ll pick a winner Sunday, November 23rd.  Good Luck!

I have all issues but the recent one - takes longer to get out into our rural area. I like to use them for making one block or even two block quilts, sampler quilts, pillows and mini wallhangings.

I haven't used any of the blocks yet but do go through them for inspiration. Some day I will plan on making a quilt with some of them. Just trying to finish up a lot of UFOs.

I must admit that I've never made a block from any of these magazines, for I have yet to see any one of them in person (we live in a fairly isolated area, with only a local Walmart for fabric). But I have wanted to get one for a long time. This would be a great things to win!

This is the first that I have seen of the 100 blocks book and I am amazed at all the great blocks. Definately if I don't win one of the books I will be going out and purchasing one for myself because of the blog hop. Thank you for all your hard work :)

I don't think I've ever used a patter from the 100 Blocks magazine/book--mostly because I didn't have the magazine. Who knows? Maybe I'll win a copy.

I am new to sewing in general so I haven't used any yet, but I plan on trying some during my winter hibernation.

I've enjoyed getting a few of the magazines, and looking at the blocks. They've given me inspiration to design quilts, and I've used some as an alternate block. Thanks for testing them!

I've made sampler quilts for at least 8 family members and used the Block magazines as a resource to help me pick some different blocks.

You've done a great job in testing the blocks.

I have used the 12 inch blocks as wall hangings. I hope you enjoyed testing blocks. Seems like it would be fun.

I enjoy looking at all of the blocks. A lot of ideas, inspiration and creativity went into these designs. I have made lap quilts from the pieced blocks only. Thank you for being a part of the Blog Hop and giving me the chance to win my own copy of this collectible magazine.
